About Reiki
Reiki is a gentle, hands-on energy healing technique used for stress reduction, relaxation, and the promotion of balance within the body systems.
Reiki is translated as universal life force energy or soul energy and is not bound to any one system of the body.
When our life force energy is low, it is more difficult to deal with stress, making us more susceptible to illness.
When our life force energy is strong, we feel strong, can more easily deal with stress, and are less likely to become ill.
Reiki is a technique that increases a personal supply of life force energy, supporting the natural healing processes of the body, restoring physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
What is a Reiki Session Like?
Whether you’re looking to heal physical pain, release negative emotional or mental patterns, or are seeking inner peace, I am here to bring soothing, vital life force energy to your systems, supporting you on your path to wellness.
Each session will begin with a check-in so that I can answer any questions you may have, and you can share your own healing intentions or goals with me. We will also end with space for sharing and transitioning out of the healing session.
Reiki is administered through the hands of a Reiki practitioner with the receiver lying fully clothed on a massage table or seated in a chair. The Reiki practitioner places their hands at locations around the body to facilitate a flow of revitalizing energy. The practitioner’s hands are simply held at each location, lightly touching or slightly away from the body.
A Reiki session can feel like a wonderful glowing radiance that surrounds and fills the receiver, invoking feelings of relaxation, peace and well-being, creating the environment for balance and healing.
Reiki sessions are 60 or 90 minutes long and can be either in-person or remote.
